hello,
In order to avoid loosing a licence due to broken hard disk (CF card) and using same licence on new hardware, please add hasp dongle or something else.
best regards
CF or any other memory has a lifetime so I will loose the license anyway. Especially in bad operating conditions. Thanks for reply.I would recommend to use higher quality CF to prevent license loss.
It will stop in frequent power loss. This is what happened in my case. Tested with kingston 2 and 4 GB CF cards.RouterOS doesn't write anything to disk, why should it stop working?
For me it is much easier to not think about it but to rely on the fact that I can always count on a new HDD without having to buy a new license. Thanks, anyway I will try Your recommendations. Thanks for reply.
I recommend Sandisk Extreme pro, Lexar Pro or PQI industrial.
You do not have to buy a new license, mikrotik support will issue a replacement. For me it is much easier to not think about it but to rely on the fact that I can always count on a new HDD without having to buy a new license. Thanks, anyway I will try Your recommendations. Thanks for reply.

Than, this is all what I need. Thanks Normis! You do not have to buy a new license, mikrotik support will issue a replacement.
AFAIR, any change in Address Lists is written to disk, and it's not possible to manually create dynamic entries not to write them on diskRouterOS doesn't write anything to disk, why should it stop working?
