Groove 2.4ghz

I will buy hundreds if you can make this product in 2.4ghz frequency. Please make this Mikrotik. Whats your thoughts?

I'll second that - just installed 90 Engenius3500 when 2.4 groove would of been much better.

Would be nice if it was 24dbm not 20dbm. That way there is a lot of nice priced antennas to go with the groove. If you can go higher that. That still would be nice.
The groove has 15dbm at 54mbps which is almost nothing. I would need a very high dbi antenna. Which price goes up. If we had little higher dbi the overall price would be good. Thanks in advance.

I see the omnitik is 400mw. Why not the groove? 400mw will work for 5ghz and 2.4ghz.

While I like and sometimes need the higher power units, I see why they don't have amps on every device.
The Crossroads I have sometimes do not like the lower power settings. I have a few that I could swap out for lower power units, however they are not easy to get to. If set below 10dBm then we have some issues.
The RB711h2n has 27dB tx, sounds like it has an amp to me. I am looking forward to trying it, as well as a 2GHz Groove and Omnitik. I'm feeling a little left out by all the 5GHz focus.
I would like it if MT would bring a 900MHz 802.11n option to the table. Ubiquiti's M9 products are great and all, but you cannot disable TDMA and it will cause self interference.

A minipci 802.11n 30db card is coming out soon. We can use that card with mikrotik.

I want to use this for my 2.4ghz clients.
1. Less electronics, less chance esd will aim at it.
2. Very easy installation
3. Light wait
4. Very flexible for antenna sizes
5. Very cheap replacement costs.
6. Its Mikrotik!!!

I would look at this the other way. If something dies because of simple interference, it's not a good sign.

I see the omnitik is 400mw. Why not the groove? 400mw will work for 5ghz and 2.4ghz.
1.400mw 2.4 is no legal in EU max 100mw /Any way Groove or SXT 2.4Ghz ver. will be good
2.400mw 5150-5350Ghz is also no legal in EU max is 200mw from 5490-5725 u can use up to 1W
3.Always try to use less mw (less noise) - instead use bigger antennas
so MT dudes pls dont make 2.4ghz 400mw Sxt or Groove it will kill the spectrum
What batter me a lot is why groove sxt or any MT N-standart wireless cart are not supporting 5ghz-A (only A) 40Mhz channel with?

The only problem with a 200mW/23dBm single chain N Groove is that at higher modulations MSC7 the output power is only going to be ~16dBm. I think you would be better off starting at 400mW/26dBm and ending up with ~19dBm @ MSC7. This is going to give you a better chance of maintaining higher data rates and would allow you to lock your data rates to higher rates if you wanted.

One I cant understand why groove is not made to support on both freq. 2.4 and 5ghz
I understand sxt have 5Ghz integrate antenna and there is no point to support 2.4ghz
but groove dont have integrate antenna just u can put radio chip like on R52Hn witch support 2.4 and 5Ghz

Yeah I agree, they probably wanted to use a cheaper chip set to make the product cheaper for us. Thats good with me.

Any idea when the 2.4 will be launched? We have a rolout to replace 30 UBNT bullet2 radios and these will be perfect.
