I figured this would be more hardware-oriented as this depends pretty much completely on the hardware's power.
I am going to be in a college where the primary internet connection
is 400mbps and everything is GigE with 10gigE backhaul between
buildings. I don't expect to get all of that 400mbps, but what RouterBoard
can do ~200mbps of WAN to LAN throughput?
I have two 750Gs now, and with my 35-meg connection they run around 35% CPU.
I looked at the charts on routerboard.com but I am looking for single-stream results....and
is it safe to assume packets from the internet are ~1492 bytes or less?
