Switch chip in RB1xx/mipsle boards?

Is the /interface ethernet switch feature available in the earlier Mikrotik boards (e.g. RB100-series, mipsle)? I have a vague memory of reading something in the release notes when the switch feature was first added that mentioned it was not supported on those boards, but can't find any reference to that in current release notes or anywhere else in the docs or on the forums. Hopefully my memory is incorrect.

I just don't want to waste a lot of time trying to get it to work if it's not supposed to.

Thanks!

No. That feature is for interaction with actual switch chips on the boards. If the boards don't have that hardware, you don't get the feature.

http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Sw ... troduction lists the different chips and what boards they're used with.

Bummer, but thanks for the quick reply. I saw that topic, but wasn't sure if the older boards fell under the category of "Other".

You know, I never noticed that 'other' category. It's quite possible I'm wrong. But the 100 series is so old, I kind of doubt they have the necessary hardware.
