Hello,

I have a problem when I am browsing via http. Everything is ok when I open web pages with the http protocol. But when I try to go in any ftp using the web browser I obtain 'Page not found'.

I have tried to use a ftp client and I have no problems to download or upload archives.

I think there is some kind of rule which does not allow to open a ftp connection when you are connected via http. Is it ok?

I am using the MikroTik v2.9.1. Can someone help me?

Thank you!

Under ip firewall's service tab. Do you the ftp helper plugin enabled?

Have you tried your computer not going through the router to the ftp server to see if it works? The ftp server you are trying to connect to might not be configured to handle connections from a web browser. I believe you need to have passive ftp enabled in order to do that.

Hello Dan,

I have the ftp helper plugin enabled in ip>firewall>service ports

I have not problems when not going through the router using the web browser, neither when connecting with or without the router using a ftp client.

Have I to configure any option in the MikroTik to allow passive ftp?

Thank you for your help

Strange. I have never had that problem. There shouldn't be anything to configure to allow passive ftp.

Are you using NAT or Masqerade in this router?
Any potential firewall rules that might be blocking your access?

The only thing I can think of is that you have something configured in either the firewall, or nat rules that is blocking this traffic.
