Route drops with interface

Wed Nov 16, 2005 1:49 am

I have a Mikrotik box setup with one wavelan card and one CM9.
Wavelan backhaul to internet. CM9 (wlan1) is setup as ap.

I pppoe server enabled on wlan1 to be an access concentrator.

One of my clients ip address is 192.168.15.140

I want to be able to access the network behind his mikrotik box which is 192.168.25.0/24

I have a static route setup on my router
192.168.25.0/24 via 192.168.15.140

Everything works, until his wireless drops, which happens maybe everyday for just a second or two and it reconnects and everything is fine.

The problem is that when the pppoe connection drops, my route gets messed up. It changes the default interface to wavelan1, when it should be pppoe

Is there anyway to get around this? Do I need to use a dynamic routing protocol?
