I saw that there have been earlier discussions regarding web proxy authentiction ... well this is not about that.
It would be great if the web proxy could log into a parent proxy using the standard authentication. I think it would be easy to implement, since all you need is 2 new entries for the username and password and then send the standard basic authentication headers along with each proxy request to the parent.
The reason for the request is that while web proxies on the LAN may not need to be protected, parent proxies with public addresses might. If the child proxies have no static addresses, a good second alternative is authentication.
