I have a RB433u routerboard with 2 R52hn radio cards. I have the wireless setup as a Mesh with WDS in dynamic mesh mode. Wlan2 is setup for the clients to connect to and I have a virtual AP created on wlan2 for private connection and is wpa2 protected. Eth1 is the main internet connection and has a static IP address assigned to it. Eth2 is being used by other computer equipment and is setup as a DHCP client. I am trying to bridge Eth3 and wlan3(virtual ap on wlan2) together and have it connected to another network that has it's own DHCP server.
When I create bridge2 and add the wlan3 and eth3 ports to it and add a dhcp client to bridge2 or eth3 the router locks up. I can then only access by layer 2 MAC address. I can't configure any routes at this point. What I am trying to establish is a internet connection going out on eth1 where the mesh is configured to go thru. DHCP is also enabled for the mesh. I am also trying to create another connection that is going thru eth3 and clients that connect to the virutal ap or wlan3 will also go thru eth3 connection. So basically, eth1, eth2 and mesh1 are on the public network and eth3 and wlan3 is on the private network. Do I need to put a static ip address on eth3? Any help is appreciated.
