VLAN Switching on 450G

Thu Nov 10, 2011 5:59 pm

Hi,

I have attached a diagram of what I am trying to achieve.

I basically have a WAN connection on ether1 of the 450G. This WAN connection is carrying multiple VLAN's (80,81). VL80 is a /30 that connects the upstream router to my 450G. VL81 is an additional VLAN that I need to pass out of ether1 of the 450G to ether3 - it is carrying a PTP link that connects the router upstream to the 450G to a router that is beyond the 450G (on ether3).

So, I need to be able to accept VL81 on ether1, and continue to pass it on ether3. On a Cisco switch, I would simply configure this VLAN on multiple physical trunk ports, but I cannot figure how to properly do this on the 450G. This whole design could possibly be incorrect - instead of passing VL81 through the 450G, maybe I should terminate it on the 450G, and then create another VLAN and /30 to link the 450G to the router upstream?

Could someone please offer some assistance?

Thanks!

Create two vlans in the Eth1 with id 80,81.
Create one bridge and add in the ports the vlanID81 and ETH3 so all trafic of vlan 81 will forwarded for port ETH3.
