I would like to ask if the RB153 is upgradable to v6.x (preferably to 6.11).
Or is it limited to and supported up to v5.26?

The download page says "RB111, RB112, RB133C, RB150 devices are not supported in v6, please use v5.", but I don't know, whether the RB153 is implicitly included in this list (as it doesn't say "RB15x devices").

I haven't tried the upgrade yet, I want to be sure beforehand

Yes, it includes the RB153 as well. I suggest keeping it on v5.26
