How much bw does routing take?

Hi2all,

I have 3 MT routers (1st 750GL, 2nd 750 and 3rd x86) connected using wireless link.
From 1st to 2nd MT using bw test I get speed of about 50 Mbps in receive, and from 2nd to 3rd I get also about 50 Mbps, but when I try bw test from 1st to 3rd or 3rd to 1st, I get only about 20-25 Mbps.
Is it possible that using static routing consumes so much time that bw drops that low?

Why don't you disable /ip firewall connections track, and check again.

Hi, tried that, didn't help.. still we have almost 50% drop of performance.. maybe to connect our wireless bridges together and try then? Oviously router is slowing down overall performance...

It looks like wifi has much more delays then ethernet, that's why we get loss of bw.
Testing UDP traffic gets us to 90 Mbps, while testing TCP paralel streams we get as high as 60-70 Mbps.
