That's why it says to "watch" and the PDF is only "Accompanying PDF", it means - not much sense to only read the PDF. More info is in the video.

I hope you like the other new products too!

It's a nice first step but it's a bit under whelming - It looks like you just threw more GHZ at it to route more, 43ghz of CPU to handle 16gbit and thats 16gbit that MT say, Remeber the RB1100? 3.2gbit of throughput but struggled with 1gbit with some actual config on it

Looks like MT have ignored the ASIC path or even the Cavimum path which will hurt. MT is entering a space with 10gbit+ routers that is much less forgiving than the "ISP's" they are used to now. It will be interesting to have a play with this and see what it can actually do in the real world but the design is very off

i like the metal bullet :D
I was thinking it would be nice to have a integrated lnb-type bullet with a feeder, so it only needs to be put in a parabolic dish.
Did you think about this?
Also, any hope regarding gpon market this year? Or better stick with other brands for now?
Thanks normis.

I guess this router will be based on the Tilera TILE-Gx8036 CPU, which includes 16 SGMII Interfaces and is supported by Linux.
But if MT just throws their current software at this CPU, I bet we wont see any impressive performance. If however MT designs a new stack and network framework, then we might see some impressive performance. I don't think the "normal" Linux IP stack will scale well with this number of cores.

I`m afraid that if MT can not launch CCR1036 within this summer (June to August). Hope CCR1036 will launch at time not like before RB2011 and RB1100 series.
Normis do you have any other news for CCR1036? Already tested and waiting for marketing? or technically not ready yet?

Yes this is a very important product. Finally, it will save us from unreleiable x86 deployements.

Please give more info about this product.

Normis Hi, can you give us more information about CCR-1036?

Mainly we are interested in the following points:

- It will run native 32bit or 64bit Mikrotik or virtualization and above Mikrotik
- Please explain the principle of fast forwarding packet? (wirespeed ?)
- Will include an ASIC?
- What will all be processed through the CPU and what hardware?
- How big will the RAM?
- They're going to have any major software changes in Mikrotik?

Please give us more information to your customers, you have some pieces made? Now tuning software? or is all just in a state of the project and yet chide whether it be so or so.

Please be open to us, we expect this product for years.

I think if we just plug into a bit of "development" so that you can only bring benefits.

For years, we expect a routeros on x64 platform .

Thank you for answer

Other models were promised in april in following order:

2011US-2HnD
2011US-IN
2011US(2HnD-IN)

That's great that these products will be available at the end of April, but in the US, we haven't even seen the RB751G yet. Is there some problem in getting FCC certification on it? I believe it was announced before the 2GHz Groove models last year and this two products are already showing up in the US.... Seems like some kind of disconnect here.

Is there a planned RB2011LS-RM or RB2011US-RM?

The indoor case is very nice, but would like Rackmount option.

What about RB2011 series NAND storage size???
There is no information about this on 'routerboard.com' site.

RouterBOARD devices come preinstalled with enough NAND to be able to run RouterOS. The size can vary, so we don't publish exact specs.

@normis
with enough NAND to be able to run RouterOS
OK, but what to do if I need to run hotspot with huge number of advertisement pages
and don't want to set external web server for that pages only?
Even RB1100AHx2 with license Level 6 (unlimited number of hotspot users) is unable to store these pages:
http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=60116
If MikroTik reduces NAND size on every new RouterBoard, there is a need for option
to store hotspot files on external storage, like Micro-SD card (feature request :) ).
I don't want to run RouterOS-based HotSpot on X86 platform because it is not
cost and energy efficient solution.

You can already do that. Enter "\usb1\somename" or "\microsd\somename" after hotspot has been configured, and USB drive formated from the Store menu.

Enter "\usb1\somename" or "\microsd\somename"
If I understood you correctly, advertisement page must be set in this way?
add advertise-url=\microsd\somename\blahblah.html
Currently I'm looking for hotspot controller and if above example works, my choice will be RB1100AHx2 :D

URL has always meant an external page. There is no way to store advertise page even on NAND. I was talking about other Hotspot pages (login, status, etc. where you can also instert your ads).

It means that for advertisement pages external Web server is a must.

I wouldn't get my hopes up to see this thing anytime soon. If the time it took to get the RB751G certified in the US is representative of how long it takes to get the wireless version of the RB2011 certified, then we will be in for a bit of a wait.
