Billing system with user manager or PPOE server

Dear All,

i have RB450G and i want to control my clients by limit a bandwidth fro example (10GB), after the user consume this limit the Mikrotik should drop any traffic from this user till he recharge again , i have no good experience in this matter so can someone help me pleeeeeeese regarding these two options (Billing with user manager OR PPPOE server) , which one is better ?

Hello!

I suggest you to create PPPoE server on Mikrotik and use RADIUS protocol, you can use Mikrotik's Usermanager or some other software like DMAsoftlab Radiusmanager for limiting user uptime, quotas... etc...
This question is answered 1000+ times, go to wiki Mikrotik or just try to google a little bit more and you will find complete sollutions...

we built our own management system based on microsoft Dynamics NAV (former Navision) and MS SQL Based (www.evolynx.com)radiusserver togehter with a microsoft partner who is customising navision installations - well this was a bit more then customising ,-)
