ADSL2 Aggregation

Mon Jul 09, 2012 7:01 pm

Hello everyone!

I would like to ask You for help on aggregating 3 ADSL2 links, if its possible in this topology. If some one can make a small tutorial using winbox, and OmniTIK should initiate pppoe connection.

Where is the DSLAM? The best scenario is having a router using MLPPP conencted to 3 modems in bridge mode at the same place then connected to the same DSLAM.

I think i wasn't clear in my first post. The ADSL links are not in the same place, home routers would be connected via WIFI with SXT-s to OmniTIK. The idea is to connect a couple of home users in one WIFI network for sharing and stuff. Some of them already have ADSL, so we want to aggregate those ADSL links in one big pipe.

I don't think you can aggregate ADSL links to give one big pipe, for example 8Mb + 8Mb + 8Mb will not give you 24Mb download on a single file but will give a download at 8Mb but up to 24Mb total on individual files.

You think some thing like load balancing? That will work for me too. But is it possible to do it, and how? As seen on the topology picture, the routers are not connected psychically with cable to OmniTIK except one.

load balancing = Yes, what is the distance between each adsl router

Furthest one is 3km from OmniTIK, the second one is about 2km from OmniTIK, and the third one is directly connected to OmniTIK.

How about this?

The LAN would be 10.0.0.0/24 and routers LAN would be in the same subnet. On router 1 create VLAN1 in its bridge, on router 2 VLAN2 and on router VLAN3 with 192.168.1.0/30. On OmniTIK in its bridge put all 3 VLAN-s with corresponding IP and for pppoe connections as interfaces use those VLAN-s. Will that work?
