Possible BUG with EoIP

Wed Jul 11, 2012 5:40 pm

I stumbled across a bug concerning eoip tunnels. I just cannot remove it.
There was a mention of such bug earlier in this forum: http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=14587; however, the proposed solution (disable than remove) does not work.

Hardware in question here is a dual Xeon, with MT v.5.18.

Here is how it goes:
 /interface eoip> pri
Flags: X - disabled, R - running
 0    name="eoip-tunnel1" mtu=1500 l2mtu=65535 mac-address=00:00:00:00:00:00
      arp=enabled local-address=0.0.0.0 remote-address=0.0.0.0 tunnel-id=0

/interface eoip> remo 0
failed to remove EoIP tunnel

The same is if I try to modify it, disable it or whatever I try to do with it ... Like a ghost.
Reboot and retry doesn't help. Still get the same.

Anyone else came up on this? Any ideas?

Regards to all!

Just managed to remove it finally ... after 5 or 6 reboots.
Still, MT people, this bug exist apparently for a long time. You could correct it eventualy!

Wonderful - Honestly my favorite thing to do is reboot a core router on the network five or six times to fix the problem. I can buy a Linksys if I want that kind of stability.
