BGP session stuck in opensent

Two MT450G's, one running 5.14 and one running 5.2.
They have been each configured with a BGP instance, and a peer with one another. Verbose BGP logging has been enabled. The peers seem to be stuck in the "opensent" state and the log reveals:

Entering Connection State..
TCP Connection Established...
Entering OpenSent State
Sent OPEN Message
RemoteAddress=x.x.x.x
Length=45
FF FF ....
Sent OPEN message
RemoteAddress=x.x.x.x

Connection Terminated

Any ideas on why the session is not establishing?
