New (unofficial) box for RB411, RB711, RB133

Sun Aug 05, 2012 3:56 pm

I have designed a simple (unofficial) box for RB411, RB711, RB133 deivce.

It is treated by fireproof treatment and if anyone is interested I can produce hundreds of them from either plywood or plastic board (PC, ABS or POM).

Critics much welcome!

Enjoy :)

Isn't it a little overrated to call them "box"?
IMHO a box has 6 walls...
Fixture would be a more proper term, since an enclosure (or box) usually protects also from the elements (dust, screwdrivers, users etc.).

Actually funny thing - as far as you have the device turned on at all times and mounted on the wall, there is much less dust settling on the device than on any other kind of fixture or a box - the air gets warmer as it passes CPU and the airflow does not allow the dust to settle on the device.

This 'fixture' is obviously not meant to be used at schools of office spaces.
