Forward in mangle, htb interface and NAT

Mon Sep 17, 2012 4:44 pm

Hi,
my main router does NAT and also QOS(qt+mangle).
I want to ask if I use forward and qt+ htb interface if it is ok?
Does that mean that pcq has no meaning?

Yes, it will definitely work. At least with the pfifo queue type.

Not sure about pcq. It may take into account an src-address, but Interface HTB is located after the Source NAT, so pcq may not work properly there. However you can attach the queue to Global-Out (before NAT) and pcq should work there.
