newbie question - how to design my network with RouterOS

I recently bought an entry level unit RB750 to play around.
I have no previous experience on RouterOS and this looks quite different to everything else I have played before
Currently I have linux based routers (IPfire and PFsense). I intend to keep PFsense and let it do everything (WAN + DHCP + squid + PPTP server + port redirection etc). RB750 I intend to use it for QoS only.
I've spent a bit of time reading, but I really need some help to make sure that I am on the right path.
1. Is it possible to have RB750 doing QoS only (and not too overly complicated) and co-exist with PFsense? If so, do I ask PFsense to use RB750 as gateway or?
2. Anything different that I need to do on RB750 opposite to a normal set up?
3. In this setup scenario, can I still let PFsense to connect to WAN, or I must let RB750 to do it?
The reason that I am keeping PFsense is, I want to use squid to filter certain web contents, and caching certain web contents. Else everything I want to do it seems RouterOS can do it.
Would it be better off that I use RouterOS (maybe not RB750 but a bigger toy) as the main router and having it connect to another PC with squid installed?
