Mikrotik Formmated Nand???????????

Thu Sep 27, 2012 8:45 pm

Hello ,

am using Mikrotik RB800 , I tested it two month ago with its built in mikrotik OS with no problem , after that I flashed DD-WRT on a compact flash installed on the Router-board and used it and it worked fine also.

Today I tried to reuse the built in OS so I had to change boot sequence from Compact Flash to NAND .

using Hyper Terminal , boot the routerboard

Press any key within 2 seconds to enter setup

What do you want to configure?
d - boot delay
k - boot key
s - serial console
o - boot device
f - cpu frequency
r - reset configuration
e - format nand
g - upgrade firmware
i - board info
p - boot protocol
t - do memory testing
x - exit setup

-----------------------
I pressed (o) to change the boot to NAND Only then by mistake I want to exit and boot again I pressed (e) as a start character to the word exit and e as described above is used to fomat nand , when it ask me to press yes to confirm , I unplugged the power cable and plug it back then it showed me that kernel is not found ? did I format Nand by mistake ? what is the solution ???????

any help please ?????

If the boot loader still shows on startup when you are consoled in, you can netinstall it to get it back up and running. You might need to contact support for license support though since I don't know if you will have wiped out the license or not.
