can routerOS be used to detect nearby wifi devices?

Sun Sep 30, 2012 12:49 am

I would like to see what wifi enabled devices are in range (but not signed onto the wireless network) of the wireless AP. Does RouterOS provide that information in an easily accessible manner?

Dear,
i do not understand your question at all but you can use SCANNER, FREQUENCY USAGE and WIRELESS SNOOPER tools for this purpose. All of them are in the wireless tab.

You can also use full spectral analysis with The Dude and a RouterBoard with the correct chipset.
