2011 Packet loss

Wed Oct 03, 2012 3:06 am

All,
I have deployed some 2011's now. My standard setup is a 2011 at the top with a run of fiber coming down plugged into another 2011. I am trunking some VLANs across the SFPs. I have created VLANs on the 2011 by bridging the VLANs together. I have a VLAN on the SFP and one on the physical ethernet port. I then bridge these 2 vlans together.

I experience packet loss between the routerboards. Going through the routerboard to an ethernet device I experience packet loss as well. It does not matter what device so I can pretty much rule out it being specific to a certain device. I have tried turning auto negotiate off, on, duplex, etc.

This is happening on several locations so I can rule out something site specific.

Any ideas? Any notes in the 5.21 about 2011s? I am going to put files together and email support, but figured I would ask here 1st.

I've seen a lot of reports of the 2011 dropping ethernet packets... seems to be a widespread hardware issue.

I'm using sever in my wisp and haven't seen any problems.
ubnt radio's, routed ospf, mpls/vpls network. I use bridges to tie vlans to ports and vpls tunnels.
so far they have been good to me. I'm not using any fiber tho.
