VirtualAP on station mode

Hi
I am connecting to Mikrotik devices together (RB433 and Groove 2.4), the Rb433 is setup in ap bridge mode while the Groove is setup as station mode. This connection works perfectly however I want clients to be able to connect tithe groove device also so I configured a VirtualAP, however clients are not able to see this VirtualAP at all, even though the SSID is visible. I have worked with VirtualAP's before so I know it is configured correctly. Any advice at what it could be? I am running routeros 5.20.
I used to use WDS however from what I understand WDS will re-transmit all the traffic to every single node connected to it and this is not ideal for me.
Thanks in advance.

A client cannot connect to a radio in "station mode" because that mode is a client-only mode itself.
One single radio will not work as an AP and a STATION at the same time. You need 2 radios to do this (or use WDS).

Thanks for the info.

You could set up the Groove as an AP, but that may limit you to WEP encryption.
I've tried WPA with AP-to-WDSslave, and it works for a while, then loses key synchronization.
The ideal solution is to make a feature request for "VirtualAP on station mode".
