Hi all,

I found a tutorial to Setup a Bridge with two SXT's : http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Bridging_ ... s_with_SXT



Bridge: 192.168.3.252 ; Station Bridge : 192.168.3.251

The only difference is that the Laptop in the described tutorial on the left side is a Cablemodem, and the right one is my Router.
This cablemodem only works with an authenticated MAC addresses / DHCP (Or static)

My thoughts were that the Bridge is a "transparent" Network, and acts as a Switch, so i gave the Cablecompany the mac of the router WANport.

In a labor test (without the MAC Auth) the Bridge Setup was functioning, so i brought it to the "live".
The Bridge is working, when i make my Notebook a static Client in the 192.168.3.x Network i can reach both SXT's.
But when i connect the Router and let the router WAN get ist IP, no IP is given though.

So i thought to give the first Bridge the MAC of the Router, and get an IP from there.. but no results... (after i broke the 1 mile Connection oops....)

Can anyone give me a clue what spot i'm missing?

Try to put a static IP at computer. pinging Gateway (dhcp server) troug Your SXT's. If this is not working. you have someting wrong in Your setup.

If not working. try dhcp Client at bridge Interface on each SXT, and see if annyone will get the ip.

I 've moved the Router, it now is the first device after the modem.
Now it works, and the Bridge is working like a... very good so to speak
