Connect two routers in same local network

Wed Dec 12, 2012 10:41 am

Hello! I'am a newbie in mikrotik routers configuration. So, the thing what i am up to is not so difficult to realize, i guess.
In our company we have 2 different offices which should be separated with two different IP addresses. At this moment we do it with one Mikrotik RB750 and Windows Server routing services, specifying the gateway on users computers from where they should take an WAN IP. So, the point is to replace that Windows Server with another RB750 router. DHCP Server is now configured on mikrotik router.
The Question is: how to configure the new router to work in same local network? Should i clone the current router configuration to the new one, just changing WAN IP adress? What about DHCP, should I disable it at the new one? And is there any possibility to configure it that way, when WAN ip address is assigned to user computer by MAC and IP regions?
If needed i can paste the current mikrotik router configuration.
