How to limit users based on bytes in and bytes out combined?

Wed Feb 15, 2006 8:22 am

Hello!

I read the manual and searched the forum, but to no avail.

I have a hotspot setup that works well. Now I would like to limit certain hotspot users based on their traffic. I know that you can limit users using limit-bytes-in OR limit-bytes-out, but there's no hotspot parameter for both in and out combined. How if I want limit a user to 100MB for upload AND download? Any work around anyone?

Thanks!

If you are familiar with radius, you can set up (almost) anything you want :)
You can monitor the users traffic every 5 mins (for example) and then run a script that will simply delete his interface after he run out of bytes available.

Hope this helps
