Memory suck

Sun Dec 23, 2012 10:54 pm

Is it just my config or is anyone else getting a HUGE memory hit on there 750g devices?
I've minimized just about as much as I can while running a very small hotspot.
But, everytime I reboot, the 750G doesn't start with more than 8meg ram.
Since the latest beta install I can't do better than that.

Anyone else notice this?

Then how would betas ever get tested in real world scenarios? ;)

It seems to be holding up ok (6.6rc) on a small <20 users, except for this memory issue. I've got a script that reboots at <6meg.
Not very pretty and it sure is ugly!
Production environ or not, it's not critical at this point.
My question is regarding memory depletion and why so bad in Release Candidate, 6.6.

can you make support output file which is made after reboot and another support output file when the free memory goes below 9 or 8Mb?
How fast the memory leaking is happening?
Maybe you could provide us with remote access for debugging?

Thanks Uldis,
I've dropped back down to 5.22. And things are fine.
I still lose memory quickly, but not as bad or as quickly with rc6.6.
So, I've obviously got some issues with config, mostly firewall rules, I do believe.
I will re-install rc6.6 regardless and send supout files.
I can do that tonight.
And/or send you remote access...
