How to have more up time from the MT OS?

Hey all.
I was wondering ... does anyone have a good way to keep two routers that are in a vrrp config in sync? I mean like a PIX is kept in sync. When we make a change to the master, it is propogated down to it's deligates? Is there such a beast? Could we use scripting to do it some how? I couldn't find anyway that the mt's capture the events like the filter set has changed, or the queues have changed. This means that we need to manually go in and change the system on both machines ... that seems bad to me ... what are others thoughts? Also, I gave up on trying to configure the DHCP servers to "co-exist" ... finally decided it was "better" to use a radius server ... but that seems like over kill to me. Thoughts?
