Looks like the v5.23 and v5.24 changelog mixed together that is why you see 6 lines.

There are some few fixes for Nv2 that will increase the stability so If you are using Nv2 we recommend to upgrade the AP and the Clients to this version.
If you still see some lockups please report back and write to support.

ROS 5.23 and ROS 5.24 start problem with protocol ssh in mpls , when is used pptp.

H1----R1--(MPLS)---R2--(MPLS)---R3---(MPLS over pptp)--R4---H2

Host H1 can't connect to host H2 used ssh.

Interesting first-hand notice of ROS 5.24 and RB2011.. On the spur of the moment I decided to try MetaROUTER after upgrade. I imported same OpenWRT image as earlier, made same basic setup as earlier and started to load it, just like I have done several times before (with different ROS versions).

BUT! This time is totally different than those previous times, because after 1,5 hours I have lost exactly Zero (0) packets from my datastream. Time period is not so long that no-one can say anything sure, but so far this seems very stable. Response times for ping are varying from <1ms to ~10ms (mostly <1 as it should be of course).

Previous times I had constant freezes every ~10 minutes or so, so something has changed somewhere. My device is exactly in same room and in same temporature and in same load and in same everything than earlier.

Edit: Have to say that I didn't try MT with 5.23, because I had other problems and I was forced to downgrade back to 5.22.

Edit#2: Ok, had first freeze after 2 hours, so forget. Everything is like before. :)

Upgrade from 5.23 to 5.24 yesterday and it seems that I can't see the graghing any more on: routerIP/graghs - It just shows a blank page below "Traffic and system resource graphing" headend.

I've enabled graghing as I did on 5.23 release but I can't see the graphs any more! :?

Have you changed MPLS MTU to make it work over pptp tunnel? PPTP adds overhead and reduces MTU.

A new RB2011 died after upgrade from 5.23 to 5.24...

wow
I upgraded an RB2011 from 5.23 to 5.24 and then upgraded the firmware. Not only did it go smoothly, but a wireless ethernet bridge I had on the network is now able to connect without any dropouts (it was disconnecting every few mins on 5.23).

Upgraded a few devices without issues so far. Some critical and others non-critical. I always make sure that nand-if-fail-then-ethernet is enabled on each device, and that all npk files are copied correctly before upgrading. Surprisingly on 951-2n current firmware is 3.05

When need to know exactly how it can be reproduced. If it happens very often we would require remote access so we could debug this problem and look for a solution.

We have a lockup when using nv2 with 5.24,5.23,5.22..., must then disable and enable the AP card to return traffic.
I believe this happens because the station bridge mipsbe, I'll switch to a powerpc to know.

we did see a lockup when installing 5.24 on RB433AH devices,
on other devices like RB600, Omnitik, STX, RB711 RB433(without AH) it seams to work without issues

so we had to downgrade again to get the network up/runing again (did not work via Remote)

with 5.24 and nv2 we have a lockup when data gets to 40mbs tx and 40mbs rx simultaneously
must then disable and enable the link
... I was just about to post the same complaint!

I updated one of our links (bridge/station-bridge with nv2 on x86 hardware, 2km distance, dual pol) - both ends - to 5.24...
After 3-4 hours passing traffic of about 80-90Mbps it suddenly stopped. Then, I just disabled/enabled the wlan1 interface on the bridge side of the link and it resumed for another 4-5 hours, then stopped again.
...before I downgraded back to 5.23 I did make a supout.rif file. I Will submit it to support...

Note: the link is stable with 5.23 ever since...(300/300Mbps)! Before the upgrade it was on ROS 5.21 and the link's uptime was exactly the same as the router's > 151 days!!

?.?? - 5.24 annoying behaviour of mac telnet, ap - client:

connect to ap, look at registration and select one of connected clients (mode station wds and station bridge tested) and try to connect with mac telnet ->

Login: admin
Password:
Trying 00:0C:42:xx:xx:xx

and window title bar says MAC Telnet 00:0C:42:xx:xx:xx (Disconnected)

but PASSWORD is correct ! client is correctly reachable using winbox+ip, dunno why is mactelnet not working, it is realy annoying - i must go there on client side when i do sg wrong (ip address changing/removing/reconfiguring) in configuration and client is still connected on ap but i cant connect there ...

everything 5.24 and routerboard firmware 3.02:

clients rb411 + integrated card, rb411+ r52, rb411+tplink TL-WN662AG, rb711-5Hn
ap+ connected 4 clients, generating random traffic 5-40Mbps on one pc connected to ap, some PCs connected on clients

test1: routed network, NV2, ap card r52n mode 5GHz A/N, clients in station mode ether1 routed networks,
after ~2 hours lockup of wifi card on AP side tx 0bps

test2: bridged network, NV2, ap card r52n mode 5GHz A/N, clients in station bridge mode,
after ~1 hour lockup, same behaviour

test3: same as above, station WDS mode,
after ~1 hour lockup, same behaviour

same results with r52hn
tested also omnitik+sxt <1hour to lockup, traffic 30-40M

i have also tried another card on ap, r52n another series and same results ...

Here You go (Use WinBox) :
1. http://download2.mikrotik.com/routeros/ ... e-5.22.npk
2. Copy and paste it on "Files"
3. Go to /system/package then click "Downgrade" then it will reboot, or you must reboot after that (/system/reboot)
4. Check Your Version it's must be 5.22.
5. Then go to /system/routerboard, you will notice that "Current Firmware: 3.02" and "Upgrade Firmware: 2.41"
6. If Current firm are high version than Upgrade firm then you can click "Upgrade" and make sure it done.
7. Then reboot your router from /system/reboot
8. After reboot, check /system/routerboard you'll see all firmware version now 2.41.
9. Done.

isnt that downgrading version? ;)

after that you just upgrade RouterOS and don't touch the firmware - you will have 5.24 and 2.41

downgrading upgrading ... omg no way. Ill not downgrade xyz pieces of RBxxxx
of course manually because there is no automated way ...

I will build stable wireless networks - but now I think I bought some low cost radar jammer piece of crap with buggy software, if I wish see wifi lockups i can go and buy OvisLink, it can stuck every hour ...

ANY CLEVER, AUTOMATED, WORKING AND STABLE SOLUTION REQUIRED.

FWF? where to get .fwf? thats some standalone firmware file? for rb411 rb433ah rb711 and sxt + omnitik?

In 5.24 upgrade firmware button does not work in Winbox on RB951-2n and RB951G-2HnD. /system routerboard upgrade works.

Now please continue the discussion about nv2 lockups. I am courious when this will be resolved, without going back in time and downgrading to anything pre 5.15.

aspekts:
-NV2 enabled
-higher load cca 20mb 40mb and more causes probably freezing often
-N, A/N freezes often than A

amount of transferred data betweeen freezes unknown
last packets/packets in buffer unknown

probably problem with TDMA - card driver - timing, whatever, looks like it doesnt depend on card you have (r52,r52n,r52hn,tplink,cm9...)

Just tested on OmniTik - switched port to forced-off, then back to auto-on and the device powered up without any problems.

Try to go into the "/interface ethernet poe settings" and check what version POE you have.

Anyone else having a problem with Webproxy on 5.24? I have two units a RB450 and 751G that both will stop running after a while. Using the firewall to only forward port 80 traffic to the proxy. Works fine for a while then router becomes unresponsive and can no longer ping the IP address or see the IP V6 address. I have a bridge running on the 450 and traffic still is passing though it. Have not been able to get a serial console setup on the 450 to see what is happening. Hoping I will have time tomorrow to do that. BTW it normally takes at least an hour for the problem to happen and passing though at least a few hundred or more megs of traffic..

Hi,

The target upload/download captions seem to be reversed in simple queue settings.
Please see attached screenshot.

Additionally it is not possible to set queues using terminal, for example:

add burst-limit=0/0 burst-threshold=0/0 burst-time=0s/0s direction=upload disabled=no interface=ether1-modem limit-at=0/0 max-limit=0M/10M name=ether1-modem packet-marks="" parent=none priority=8 queue=default/default target-addresses="" total-queue=default

results in tx max unchecked/unset.

gluetea,
on which board the new 3.02 firmware was causing problems?
I was using it at RB450G and RB493AH, mostly for static routing, loadbalancing and traffic sharper. At ROS 5.22 and firmware 2.41 everything just fine, upgrade it to 5.23 and firmware 3.02 problem start to happen, my RB450G and RB493AH ether having enable and disable each several hours (sometime each several minute). So i have to find a away to downgrade and problem still exist after down to 5.22, then i try to downgrade to firmware 2.41, problem stop.

And now i upgrade my RB450G and RB493AH to ROS 5.24 with firmware stay fix to 2.41, everything run smooth no problem exist.

The AP is SXT G-2HnD Txchain1,Rx chain1 is not enabled. Thе picture shows C1 CH2. Tis has a lot of variation singnal photo 1 and 3 are the same CPE. CPE is TP-link 5210. After test's only workable on 2412 to 2427. Signal levels ranging from -41 to -75 depending on position and distance, the result is the same.

Where is SNMP in 5.24 MIPSBE (RB450G)? Not working ... turned on, none firewall, snmp doesn't respond.
Downgrade to 5.23 - it's OK.

Same configuration, but POWERPC (RB1100AH) - everything fine.

edit: without ANY configuration changes ... SNMP is working. I just waited an hour. I'm stupid, or ROS? I testing this behavior on 3 pieces of routerboard ...

good to know,,, but I am getting more confused by the issue..

Nomis has just told me to upgrade from 5.22 to 5.24 on a sextant that had frozen interface issue,,, on all those RB800, did you upgrade FW to 3.02 as well?

I am seeing some posts that are suggesting not to upgrade the FW from 2.41,,,

Nomis, can you clear this up?

But isn't the "firmware" just the bootloader? How can that affect RouterOS? It just permits serial upload of ROS from Netinstall.
If it's bad, we wouldn't be able to Netinstall or at worse, not be able to start RouterOS. Am I misunderstanding what the "firmware" is?

I speak about the routerboot firmware, as the BIOS of the card.

Since I had 2.41 bootloader, I upgraded about 10 versions of routerOS without any issue.
when I put 3.x I began having troubles with normal updates.

it happens with 5.23 and 5.24 with firmware 2.41 and 3.02 and goes up to 6.12
we are trying to make a supout file but it does not always work (rb stuck)
it only happens when data runs at 30-40mibs both ways
there is definitely something wrong with nv2 and when you ajust the tdma period size it goes from 1 hour link hanging to 4 hours hanging
when link is stuck ccq goes to 12/12 and no data flows till the link is disabled and enabled again
this happens on A and N links

For me v5.24 with all upgraded firmwares on all boards works for now excellent :)
First day was strange, but after week i don`t see reboots or disconnects.
On few routers i make reset-configuration then setup from zero - works fine!
Good job! For now i testing v6rc11 on few boards and works too...
When final version of v6?

Hi
how much data are you moving on your wireless link

we observe the problem since 5.22 (or maybe 5.21) and IMHO it is not directly connected to high amount of data. There is some race condition in NV2 code either on AP or on client side probably.

Note: it seems to we observe two kinds of the problem (or maybe two variants of the same bug). Several times we had an AP with poor transfare rate - because one or several of clients were locked on basic TX rate (from point of AP). After we reconnected these clients the AP worked OK. The more frequent case is complete AP NV2 lockup. But since some of our operators didn't try to check for low TX modulation lock the total NV2 lockup reported to me could be low TX modulation lockups instead (on some links with higher traffic the remote side will not be easily accessible if only low TX modulation is available).

Please make sure that the AP and the client uses v5.24 and do the following steps, those will help to detect the problem and to find a fix for it:
1. Wait till the nv2 stops working
2. Make support first output file on the AP
3. When it finishes making, make a seconds support output file (without changing
any configuration to the router)
4. Remove the wireless clients from the registration table
5. When wireless client connects back to the AP make a support output file on the client
6. Send all 3 files to support@mikrotik.com

Hello Folks!

Today we started to recieve problems after deploying several RB751U 2HnD with RoS5.24 and firmware 3.02.

We have very frequent crashes, almost one every hour with autosupout files, we sent them in, lets see what is problem, we did have no problem with 5.22 for months.

We have several RoS 5.24 on RB195, RB333, RB750 and RB433 devices with not any problem notices since release of RoS5.24.

We have reports here and on the topic of 5.23 saying about problems with the new firmware, the 3.02.

But ... on my home router ( i have this version here on a 751u 2Hnd ) i had weekly reboots and a revert back to 5.22 ( I come from the version 5.16 ).

This problem is battering me for a long time
I m asking my self why I don't have this problem with OmniTik+SXT
only in a case where I m using Board as a AP with R52Hn + SXTs as a clients

I do have same problem with you guys that makes me confuse. There're always funny question like, this version is OK with one of my RB but why not working on my other RB. Or something similiar question like that.

Of all the RouterBoard that I have, the most frustating one is RB951-2n. It comes with v5.19, and have wireless issue. I've try netinstall to v5.20, v5.24 and v6.0RC12, it solve wireless issue but gives at least 1 of this 2 issue to me.
1. It keep increasing the Bad blocks every several reboots
2. keep rebooting itself every less than 24 hours (even when I only connect it to 2 PC).
I try netinstall more than 10 times since I see some user in the forum say it fix their bad blocks eventually. But still no luck, worse it increase the bad blocks.

After a deeper research on the forum I make my own conclusion. It seems the result for every Mikrotik version varies for every RouterBoard type OR default firmware.
for example RB750 that comes with v5.19 may has different result for RB750 that comes with v5.12 when you upgrade them to v5.24.

Based on my silly conclusion, I do a brute action to my RB951-2n by Netinstalling every different available version. Everytime I see one of the stupid issue like increasing my bad blocks or rebooting by itself, I netinstall it to different version.
Luckily now I'm at v5.23, and haven't see any issue. No rebooting, bad blocks stays at 1%, and wireless is OK.
(still not test it with stressing data transfer but I'm going to wait for several days before stressing it.)

Why there's no version that works for all RB like a magic? still a mystery of the universe. LOL.

No problems over here with 5.24 on an RB600A doing ipv4 routing, wireless nv2, vlans and ospf.
We've 11 RB600 running without problem since update to 5.24 and one which reboots.

I isn't have problems with this version on this routerboard. But on my 450 and 750 2hnd i have problems with the new version i have many problems on the last days.

I believe on my tests, the stable version for my devices is the 5.22 and the firmware on the version 2.41.

All of my test with the new 3.02 firmware gives me many problems ...

we have unplanned reboots with this release- just habbend again a few minuntes ago - on RB1100AhX2 used as pppoe concentrator and running in an OSPF network.
4 different boxes - even some without pppoe reboot - so it seems to be a software problem !!!
the higest uptime we have is about 30 days - even a box with ROS6RC11 is running for 44 days allready ....
an ald RB1000 is running the same job with ROS4.17 on for more then 400 days now without troubels

Hello Folks!

I have severe performance problems with RB751U 2HnD device, even RB150 outdoes it....

After upgrading to RoS 5.24 it does not manage to take the load from ADSL 24Mbit down and 3Mbit up.

When speeds nears 3-4 Mbit/s downstreams CPU goes 100% and then it starts to reboot, and make supout files.

This happens several times per day when people are surfing.

Anyone who had this problem.

Other devices like RB150 and RB333, RB750, RB450G etc. does not show this psymtom.

I plan to replace the device with some else, if it was not for the case it is 550km away...

Mikcrotik support case with supout files has been opened, also they wanted to login and check when we have load.

To my knowledge the problem was not solved yet, still waiting for answer.

Thank you in advance!

See, your RB is fine while mine is not. Seem it's because we have a different default firmware at the first time.
The result May different as long as our RB is not on the same release.

Well I like v6.0. I'd try find the stable v6.0 one for mine. Hope find it or else gonna back to v5.x

After 3 days of trial and error and lots of mad customers we have found a fix that seems to work for the NV2 lockup and rate problem.

Adaptive Noise Immunity - Off
Data Rates - Rate Selection - Legacy
Data Rates - Default
NV2 - Tdma period size - 2

I also share the opinion that adaptive noise immunity could be causing nv2 lockups, therefore I recommend to turn it off and check if it resolves random wireless lockups.

Just so you know, for us it did not magically start working again until switching to legacy rate selection...

Can you confirm that you did not experiment around with adaptive noise immunity? I've been running advanced rate selection since last summer without a single lockup.

Yes we tried ANI on and off in multiple different configs. It seemed to be the combination of ANI off and Legacy rate selection that made a difference. The interesting thing is that we are running 5.23 and 5.24 on other links with no problems. The only ones with problems seem to be links with a great signal... Go figure!

Try this: downgrade your firmware to the version 2.41.

We have reports here and on the topic of 5.23 saying about problems with the new firmware, the 3.02.

But ... on my home router ( i have this version here on a 751u 2Hnd ) i had weekly reboots and a revert back to 5.22 ( I come from the version 5.16 ).
Hello again!

Yesterday I visited the place where 751u 2Hnd sit, logged in and started torrents from another PC to see what happened.
/tool profile show that a process called "flash" takes 100% CPU after a few seconds when packages start to come, then the device dies/reboots.

We do not have any proxy setup that uses flash disks.
I checked that we do not log anything to flash disks.
No scripts is using flash disks.
No smb that shares flash.

So the problem is process FLASH is taking all CPU.

I did simply replace the 751u 2Hnd with RB2011UAS-2HnD and all started to work normally!

However I also noticed that the new out of stock RB2011UAS-2HnD was preinstalled with RoS6.0rc13. We do not normally install RC and development versions of RoS so this device has to be migrated to production releases of RoS later then, a bad thing in production :-/

I will later try to reimage the 751 device using netinstall to see what happens.

Still we had not upgraded all devices to RoS 5.24 due to the issues we se people have with it and our own experience. We keep to the stable 5.22 exept on some routers (ppc based) which is on 5.24 since some time without problems so far.

I m telling u MT 5.24 must be redone especially nv2 and nstreme waiting to see changes in 5.25
I dont want to say this but new ubnt firmware 5.5.4 with airmax is much superior I dont believed how good it perform latency and everything is much better

There is a slight problem with RB1100Hx2 and 5.24
System - Routerboard - Settings shows the following error
[admin@MikroTik] > sys rou set pri
            baud-rate: 115200
           boot-delay: 2s
       enter-setup-on: any-key
          boot-device: nand-if-fail-then-ethernet
        cpu-frequency: 1066MHz
     memory-data-rate: (unknown)
        boot-protocol: bootp
  enable-jumper-reset: yes
  force-backup-booter: no
          silent-boot: no
error - contact MikroTik support and send a supout file (2)
It's not possible to set or read out the memory data rate.
However, it works fine in 5.20.

MikroTik support told me to netinstall my RB1100AHx2 when it had that problem plus missing model and serial number on /sys rou pri .

Netinstall of 5.24 fixed it at the time, but the missing model and serial number problem has come back a month later with 6.0rc13 on it.
[lambert@rb1100ahx2] > /system rou print
       routerboard: yes
             model:
     serial-number:
  current-firmware: 3.02
  upgrade-firmware: 3.02

The memory data rate is currently okay. I've not had a lot of happy time with this rb1100ahx2.

After a frustrating week (last week) .

Had several occassions where the TX stopped transmitting.. Even a script wouldn't sort it out.. However a scheduler did work.

The answer there was that when my unit reaches the condition whereby the unit stops transmitting, the unit also stops being able to run scripts.

A couple of times the unit actually rebooted itself from watchdog, for no apparent reason other than I suppose that it did that to really piss me off.

Final straw was last Friday,, the unit stalled, I was able to log into it as per usual..

Low and behold, no interfaces, none, not even ethernet...

How is that possible, when I am already logged in to it, I have no idea. So like the good guys at MT say, I did a support RIF.

I waited and waited and waited some more. After 5 minutes I gave up waiting... On the 6th minute the CPU kept going up to 100%, and on the 7th minute the unit crashed and rebooted itself.

What joy!.

So I abandoned NV2 and went back to 80211. I switched the CPE ( sextant to nv2, nstreme, 80211) and then also an SXT.. Then I could no longer log into the SXT from any circumstances, MAC, Telnet whatever.. Could not even access it from the neighbouring Omnitik.

Had to ask the customer to recycle the power,,, how embarrassing.

Now I have the 3 units all on 80211.. The far end sextant is -61 and now constantly drops out (never did with NV2) Also tonight, unit once again rebooted for some mysterious will of its own.

My one and only Ubnt link still performs like a charm despite my reservations, whenever I go back to it, it always maxes out the interface at 90Mbs throughput.

My Sextant >> Sextant could barely manage 30Mb on a good day! Both MT and UBNT links -61dB

Just remind me again why I still buy 1000's euros a year Mikrotik??

I paciently waited for 5.25 and here it is.. Not a word about NV2 stability.

And so I am considering jumping ship.

I dont know about all u but I have dozen of links nv2 don't perform very well on p2p
Ill always support nstreme except disconnect/reconnect problem - u can find dozen of topics about that

At this weekend i try many configurations on my routerboard.

I remove one usb flash disk of my routerboard. I discovered that my flash disk (pen drive) was a long delay in reading and writing in general causing many problems on router.
When i remove the disk i see an amazing improvement on the router work.

Too, i config my router with this tips of @Turb0 : http://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php ... 26#p303575

I test my router with an download of PC-BSD ( 2 images ) and i isn't see an reboot.

I isn't install again the 5.24 ( stay on 5.22 ) version but i believe this solved the problems for my router 751u 2hnd.

I can't understand something!
I was with 5.22, upgraded to 5.23, I now (some links) upgraded to 5.24 (I also found out what I was doing wrong with it and I couldn't see the graps) and I have NEVER encoded any problems with any of the firmwares.
Has someone of you guys search it "deeply"?
Have you tested your hardware, YOUR instalation, your something that you made it wrong and now you have problems with it?
I can't "bait" that you have done EVERYTHING OK to MANY systems that you have and you have problems with ALL of the systems (even DIFFERENT systems).
Are you 100% SURE that you have done EVERYTHING OK as for settings and hardware?
Maybe you're putting in TOO MANY "complicated" settings and you're "driving crazy" your links with that.
I don't get it!... :(

We don't use NVstream, but we had problem with wireless freezing on our RB800 with FW 5.24.
Switching DataRates to Legacy solved it! (for 4 days we haven't had freeze yet)

Benik3 and catalystjmf, please contact support@mikrotik.com about the Nv2 lockup issue. We do not have any reports on the Nv2 lockup for RouterOS v5.25. To get the max performance/stability you need to use advanced data-rates option.

Still we had not upgraded all devices to RoS 5.24 due to the issues we se people have with it and our own experience. We keep to the stable 5.22 exept on some routers (ppc based) which is on 5.24 since some time without problems so far.
I have the exact same issue with this Routerboard model.

Others (RB433AH, RB450, RB750G) work perfectly normal with v5.25 and Firmware 3.02.

Did you find any solution?

Thanks.

Hello,

The issue occurs regardless of wireless traffic actually on several boards (same model) with various configurations. Nevertheless, except for the tx power, I have the same settings as yours.
On v6.0 it's even worse. It occurs without traffic at all (except for winbox's)
I've also upgraded the firmware to 3.07 to no avail.

I've already raised a ticket with Mikrotik [Ticket#2013053166000848]

Waiting for their reply.

Oh, I got a reply alright!
Hello,

problem lies in fact that this RB751U has exhausted it's hardware capabilities.
RAM capacity on this router simply ain't enough for this task. If you would
replace this unit with one that has 64MB ram or more, that would solve this
problem. If router has bellow 10MB of free ram on average replacement with more
powerful unit should be considered.

Regards,
Krisjanis
So to recap:

There are lots of people reporting the exact same issue here on the mikrotik forum.
On this routerboard's product page clearly states that it can handle >20mbit forward traffic with 25 firewall rules.
The problem can occur even with the default configuration that Mikrotik ships with.
The problem can occur on v6.0 even when the board is idle (no traffic)
I've disabled pretty much every feature of mikrotik just to make it work on those boards and it still crashes at least once a week.

And the magic solution to this problem is to throw away all those boards on all those different clients, to get new ones because "the RAM is not enough for this task"

Why on a 32MB RAM board, I have to work only with 22MBs of RAM?
Sounds to me like a Mikrotik bug, rather than an issue with free RAM. And by the way this is not the case with RB450 for example that only has 32MBs of RAM. It can work for months without any issue whatsoever and with free ram of 4-5MBs.

And what task exactly?
The default configuration that Mikrotik ships with?
The idle board that crashes on it's own when running v6.0?

What about:
The fact that my forward traffic is not possible to be over 4mbits? (since my gateways are not over 4mbits)
The fact that before the flash process starts to get to 100% cpu usage, all routers have ~12-16MB free of ram and all of a sudden they freak out, fill up all the ram and crash?

This doesn't sound like a problem with 'my tasks' but with routeros it self.

Each and every office I use that model does completely different stuff and still the board crashes! So what kind of generalization is this?

I would say, they know that something is wrong with either this board model or with the Mikrotik RouterOS, and trying to say that's our fault to avoid solving something that has been around for months according to all those threads on the forums mentioning the same issue.

Well done Mikrotik.

Are you sure you have only the default config the boards ship with? If yes, email again to support and clarify this point. It might be a misunderstanding. Torrents are known resource abusers, make sure to limit the number of connections in your torrent client. This will solve many problems.

I made it clear that the issue occurs to 10 offices and I only managed to get 2 supout files, since when the problem occurs the router crashes and autoreboots.
I never mentioned torrents nor home use.

Here is a graph showing that 'heavy traffic' that you think the board is under
weekly.gif
If you must know, the 1 supout I send is from an office that deals with financial trades (web browsing and a financial utility - the traffic is ridiculously low -see graph above) and the other is a TV studio that streams a show via the internet (1 RTMP connection and 1 Shoutcast connection over 2 different DSL gateways)
How is it that 2 connection (~900kbps total) and some web browsing are considered 'heavy tasks', only Mikrotik knows...

And how is it that on RB750G (also 32MBram) on a home setup, even with hundreds of connections with torrents downloads, IT DOES NOT CRASH. Ever.-

You jumped to conclusions without even asking me any follow up questions to clarify any misunderstandings.
You were in a rush to blame me and the non-existent traffic as the problem instead of fixing your product which evidently is faulty (a simple forum search on 'RB751U-2HnD' is enough to know there is something wrong going on)

Sorry for my upset posting, but to tell me that I need to replace 10 boards without even investigating the issue to me is outrageous. (Unless you are willing to pay for the replacements :P )

Set the timeout of TCP connections to 1 hour instead than 1 day

problem with nv2 freezing was in 5.21 5.22 5.23 5.24,

if fw 3.02 is cause - what about some new fixed version?

btw is there any way how to downgrade to 2.14 without downgrading routeros to older version?

9. Done.
After upgrade, my Router no "bip" when power on and can not connect via Winbox. I try to hold reset button but nothing happen.
Can you help me to restore firmware ?
Thank you !
