Hee hee,
I tried that but made no difference.
The strange thing is that my computer shows the router
/ipconfig
Ethernet-adapter voor LAN-verbinding:
Verbindingsspec. DNS-achtervoegsel:
Link-local IPv6-adres . . . . . . : fe80::4490:b825:5c03:5693%11
IPv4-adres. . . . . . . . . . . . : 192.168.88.20
Subnetmasker. . . . . . . . . . . : 255.255.255.0
Standaardgateway. . . . . . . . . : 192.168.88.1
And my computer also shows the mikrotik router.
But for some reason i cant connect?!?!
Anybody an id??

I have the same problem with my RB2011UAS-2HnD-IN.
At some point the router stopped responding to Winbox connections. Yes I can see it on Winbox for a short period of time, the correct MAC, but trying to connect via MAC fails immediately showing "timeout error". ether2..ether5 - does not matter.
I had hard time finding reset button, but I did it.
When I turn the box on pushing the reset button (I feel it clicks), the box shows "ether boot" infinitely.
I can see it is not reset since I had some ports disabled and the light there does not turn on when I plug LAN connector on that port. Reset takes no place either.
So how can I reset it?

I am answering my question above.
This post was helpful and hardware reset with a screwdriver rather than button worked for me.

Once again my my RB2011UAS-2HnD-IN router went unresponsive, similarly to described above 10 months ago.
Again wasted so much time to realize that RESET button does not actually reset the device. The button is clearly responsive - when pressed device goes to "ether boot" mode forever. There is no way to reset to defaults using this button.
Eventually connected to internet on another line to find my post above, to find that I had to not only unscrew the screwed box but that I also had to short connect the spot with a screw driver. This did the trick again and reset the device.
Mikrotik, what the heck is going on? All right, the question of the device going by itself into brick box might receive no answer because it's hard to reproduce. But what about the reset button?
- manual does not show where the button exactly is
- the box does not have RESET markup
- RESET button which still exists does not reset the device
- and finally, no response to other posts on this problem on the forum (not just this topic)

Once again I had to hardware reset the router. Again, it was dying for a couple of hours stopping serving WiFi and dropping connections, and then failed to accept any external requests after reboot until HW reset.
