Zabbix mikrotik template

Mon Feb 25, 2013 7:52 am

Hi everyone. We are starting implementation of zabbix monitoring system in our network. Now all my attention is on developing mikrotik template for zabbix. After developing I will share it at zabbix.org. If you want to use it in the future you can ask me for any features, i will make everything what i can to implement it.
If you have you own zabbix mikrotik template - I will glad to see it for ideas.

Hey, i'm monitoring a few MT's with zabbix - after long search - i've found out that one and only template you could use is snmp discovery :) if you use zabbix 2.* it has snmp templates ready for discovery - set your snmp on MT and add host on zabbix with snmp template, you'll get cpu usage, disk, memory, interfaces etc...
all through snmp

Do post back if you ever complete it . We use SNMP OS Linux for the most part on our routers , and have had to add small things in there , like triggers for CPU and Available Memory . I wish you could grab stuff from the local system log on them , as a lot of errors/alerts get dumped in there and it would be nice if Zabbix could see those ones.
