Full Duplex MIMO link...

Thu Feb 28, 2013 2:35 pm

hi,

I need to setup a full duplex MIMO link for a distance of 2.5 kms.

I was thinking of using 4 RB-SXT by putting 2 on each side. correct me if I am wrong. Is that possible??

Inputs awaited.

for maximal throughput you can setup 2 NV2 links usin those routers

or you should go with rotuers with multiple wireless interfaces and setup nsream dual

the throughput can be the max allowed by any of routeros streaming protocols. objective is to achieve a full duplex throughput.

2 x NV2 links = 4 units?? and how to configure them to just recv. on one and just transmit on one??

any lead/link for the multiple wireless interface setup?

it will be fast even not beeing true full duplex link.

you have to set up nstream dual and use router with 2 wireless cards to make wireless link full duplex.

nstreme dual
http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:In ... treme_Dual

whle using NV2 you can make 100Mbps ethernet interface fully saturated with TCP in use.

2,5 km it's not far away, use some dual polarity antenna with box and RB711G-5HnD. I have dual polarity WiBOX antennas, worth to recommend -> http://www.wireless-instruments.com/en/ ... -20hv.html .

Can you run N cards on nstreme dual?

802.11, nstreme, nv2 is not full duplex. nstreme dual is full duplex.

everything else just impacts speed of the link. for example use of 2 chain 802.11n will be faster than 802.11a/b/g etc

interesting this discussion is getting, i must say!! :-)

well... now NV2 is supposed to be a faster protocol then NStream I suppose as NV2 was developed later and has a great stability too.

can we have 4 units working just in NV2 with 2 units on each side to achieve a full duplex??

Not answering my question, can i run a nstreme dual link whit two chains or only one chain?

you can run it eitherways.... with dual you will need 2 radio's.
