AR95XX advanced channels

Fri Mar 22, 2013 11:02 am

Does Atheros AR95XX based chips support non-standard center frequencies and widths, or RouterOS currently don't support this feature for AR95XX chips?
I have AR9580 based card in RB800 RouterOS 6.0rc12 and channel widths in range 21-30 are not supported.

You live in the past man. Just leave it.
Documentation is very clear, only read it.
People asked for something is not supported yet and you put them to buy a licence that is free for years.

ROTFL
You can first read the documentation yourself. Lakis is wright, and You're wrong because now extra channels is active again. Nobody is talking about buying this feature. If you write to MT support, you can update free your license to extra channels. Without it, it's impossible to use 40-60Mhz channels.

From my point of view, it will be very nice to have it with AR93xx. I wonder how fast 3x3 will work in 60Mhz :D ?

you need AR9390 or AR9590 cards for costum channel bandwidth support beside 20/40mhz ... AR9380 and AR9580 do support only 20/40mhz channels ....

beside that you need a routersoftware which supports that too ;)

Hi and thanks for answer
Where have you found information about that AR9380 don't have support for channels greater than 40Mhz? I can't find anything, so please give me some links.

Maybe MT team can bring this functionality to RouterOS. If they did it for AR92xx, they can do it also for newer chipsets.
