Need feedback for KVM and proxmox

Sat Mar 30, 2013 3:24 pm

okay so, Ive done alot of my own testing, and i can always find a fault with the kvm on x86

such as kvms get stuck, dont restart
pre 6 beta some features such as traffic gen lock up the vm and host causing it to crash
even in beta 6 i still get that issue, some times the kvms get broken and have to be reinstalled

anyone notice this please give me as much detail, i wanted to attempt to virtualize some routers
to start with as a temp solution and maybe long term depends how stable

then i loaded proxmox and i again was able to crash the vm and the host on that also....

i dont know what the problem is but im
first after info of whom else has had similar problems with kvm and also proxmox

and if anyone has a setup that is different to mine that is alot more stable

coffeecoco - can you write to us on how exactly you are crashing KVMs. We can check if we can do something about it or no. RouterOS as KVM guest has always been considered as stable.

could you paste exact commands you use to create interface that does not work. and also, if possible state size of "big files"?????

We also are RouterOS inside KVM users without any issue.
