Differentiate Traffic Accounting

Wed Mar 08, 2006 5:52 am

Hi all

Our setup is a CLEARBOX radius server and hack-job ASP scripts for a front end.

All clients connect via PPPoE.

Is there a way to distinguish traffic between clients on same router and their traffic with the WAN when the data is collected through RADIUS attributes at time of log-out??

Previously we could do that when we used to use the traffic counter but now after the shift to radius ....... :( :?

Not sure what your setup really is but here's an idea: Make IP lists in MT with the addresses traffic would not be counted to. Add Mangle rules to mark that traffic or mark and count not that traffic. (put a ! in there). Use your imagination..

This is an interesting question at all. We have very similar setup (PPPoE users) and we would like to add more SSID`s to our APs. This should allow some business users to have their separated local traffic for some monthly fee, and that traffic should not be "accounted" by the radius as Internet traffic.
If somebody have a working solution for this, I`ll appreciate it VERY much!
