Hi guys know this has been asked before but I can't find a dummies guide.
I am setting up a s small network with 100 or so clients there will be 10 mbps both ways 1:1 contention. This will feed a 1100ah which I will refer to as the core router the core will 5 back haul links each feeding an AP all links are static routed. Attached to the core router is a box running Freeradius with a DALOradius front end for AAA each AP will be a PPPoe server and will be considered a NAS by the radius server (I believe this is right as WDS is not enabled on the masts) each customer is to go on a 2mb down 1mb up 40:1 contented package. I think I need to use connection marking and queue trees but I am not sure where to begin. I would be grateful of any help that could be provided.

Regards
ColumF

It sounds like you need quite a bit of help in regards to details. I run a wisp with a similar setup but much larger scale. If you want to contact me directly email me. I think I could send you a few config scripts I use and have an hour long Skype conversation to get you going.

Cheers Jos I might take you up on that offer I have most of it figured out. I have the radius server going and I can get the AP's to connect as NAS's. I only have the bandwidth management to sort. I was hoping to mange this from the radius.

The mikrotik rate-limit can be handed back via radius to create a simple queue to manage speed dynamically.
