Feature request: Mysql client

Mon May 20, 2013 5:30 pm

Hi,

I think that mysql client can be very helpful in scripting in MT. Rather built-in ros mysql client will be faster insted ssh to pc with linux and using command mysql.

I think RouterOS must not have mysql client and such software cause it's ROUTER OS and not everyday use OS. And better to post really necessary feature request instead of flooding forum with a such non-needed requests.

I would see this as an interesting feature for the Usermanager.

I would rather the users stored in a database that is not directly on the router itself.
Think of having multiple units accessing the same database.

Yes I know this is what RADIUS is supposed to be, but it is a limiting factor on Usermanager.

downvote for mysql

but an official SDK to compile add-on software would be nice. Then anybody can have virtually anything.
