legacy problems SR2 mixed mode with virtual interface

I have a RB532 with an SR2 set up as wireless bridge in mixed mode b/g -wlan1
wlan1 uses wpa and supports 802.11g

I have a virtual interface (wlan2) on this device to support older tranzeo clients. I use a different default security profile (wep).

Here is my observation:
The TR-CPE200 and TR-CPEII seem to work fine.

TR-CPE shows a -54 signal on the client end but only a -95 at the tower.
When I change the wlan1 from b/g to b only the tower signal reading jumps to -60.

Does anybody know of this issue?

I have many problems with SR2 too :( works not stable on MT2.9.6 :( In the same place normal AR5213A works great, but SR2 sucks.
The same SR2 as a client on windows XP (ubiquiti drivers) works great, biiiiig power and sensivity.

I was hoping for more of an experience with virtual interface and/or mixed mode b/g.

New variant: When I connect a b client on the virtual interface and a g client on the primary, the b client no longer connects even if it is the model that did not present the "signal" issue. When I switch back to 802.11b only, both clients connect.

I once tried a configuration similar to this. Had the main AP set to WEP with it's own profile, then created a virtual AP with WPA. I could not get these to work together reliably. Card was a CM9 ROS version 2.9.10 I think.

Both the device and the virtual device are working fine as long as I keep the signaling in 802.11b.
