Hi,

i would like to add a 802.1q trunk port directly into a KVM guest, but i cannot make it work.

I created a bridge which contains the interface which is connected to a trunk port on my switch and the tap interface which is added to the KVM guest.

Is this scenario even possible?

Update:

Ok, my bad. I was tried to use a vlan in the KVM guest which was already defined and used on the host. Looks like it doesn't work that way.

Thanks!

W.

VLANs in guest work in the same way as they do on normal router. Meaning, this configuration would not work even if it was not a virtual guest.
