I suppose, you have to use pcq queues.
first, traffic to be marked in mangle (probably use address-list to decrease mangle rules), than apply pcq queues,

thanx for replying , but pcq is used to limit users to a specific bandwidth , and i want to devide my bandwidth to parts , i.e. the 10 users sharing 256Kb that 256Kb will be reserved for them only , no one else can share that 256 even if there r 100 users on the net.

Yes,it is possible..and you have to use PCQ...coz it's the best queue method for your needs....

and i don't think you have to use all capital in your post since someone will find it offending....

peace

i dont know why you find capitall offending ??

i agree after reading the manual that the pcq is the best for me now , what about the LIMIT-AT ?? i know MAX-LIMIT is the max , does limit-at mean if that group reachs the 256Kb they will get it no matter how many bandwidth used by other user ? let's say i have 512Kb/s total bandwidth and there r users online they got total of 400Kb/s , if the group of 10 users became online ,would they got thier 256K/s ? reducing the rest of users from 400k/s to 256k/s ?

Well, a post all in bold is often considered offensive too.

the limit-at is guaranteed data rate for a class (assuming the traffic is actually available), while the max-limit represents the maximum data rate a class can get. The data rate between limit-at and max-limit is shared between children of a parent class.

ok, in the manual examples they allways put LIMIT-AT half of MAX-LIMIT , what does it mean ??
