Mikrotik Rate Limit - Queue Tree

Tue Jul 16, 2013 2:59 pm

Hi,

I have a problem using Mikrotik-Rate-Limit sent from radius server to gateway.
The limit is passed successfully from radius to local gateway. The problem is, the dynamic queue is placed under simple queues and not under queue tree?
Is there specific setup I need to do to place the queue under queue trees and not simple queues ?

The RADIUS attribute you are using creates simple queues. That is what it does.

If you want to use queue tree, create your mangle rules to mark packets based on address lists. Then create your queue trees to use the packet marks.

Then configure RADIUS to return mikrotik-address-list attributes instead of mikrotik-rate-limit attributes.

This is how our network is configured.
