2.9.11, station mode, creating security profile for WPA

I must be missing something but I am having all kinds of problems creating a security profile on a client unit so I can take advantage of WPA-psk. I'm using routeros 2.9.11 with an Atheros 5213 based 2.4 card. I'm able to create the security profile on my AP no problem but when I go to create it on the station it comes back and tells me "Couldn't change Security Profile <profile1> - Need at least one Authentication Method(6)"....

This is in winbox. So I tried the terminal and it tells me that wpa-psk is not a valid mode so I can't set that either. There is an authentication field but I can't find any documentation to tell me what a valid entry is for that field.

I guess a follow-up question would be - is there a way from the command line for routeros to tell you what valid parameters are? Something like "set mode=?" and it will come back with valid modes are blah, blah, blah?

Thanks for your help

Use the "tab" key. It'll auto complete. If it does not, press it again to have the available options.

Interesting. Is this a bug? As far as I can tell there is no way to create a security profile while in station mode from winbox. From the command line, using the tab tip in the previous post I was able to set the authentication type (which corresponds to the mode set in winbox) and then set the mode to wpa-psk. It appears that there is a lot of overlap between authentication method and mode on the command line.

Appreciate the tab-tip. Solved my problem.

I have set up a couple of wpa link without problem. 2.9.8 and 2.9.11. With winbox and with the command line.

Right now I have 2 RB532 with 2.9.11 on my desk and I'm able to create any wpa-psk profile I want.
