Hi all,

i have a problem to remote winbox/webbox over the internet. i try to search the solution over the internet but i guess not many ppl using usb modem for their mikrotik. The equipment that i use is mikrotik RB951G-2HnD with ZTE MF680 modem. i know that since my broadband will have dynamic ip address i will need to link it with any web that provide the ip changer but i want to settle first the problem that i cant connect my winbox/webbox even when i know the public ip address.

For example if:
My public ip address is : 113.210.7.43
My winbox/webbox ip address : 192.168.88.1

What i should really do so that i can remote winbox/webbox from the internet. I really new to this, i really appreciate any help to setting it from the beginning.

Hi please you to describe you scenario (routed or bridged), and do you have the possibility to define a DDNS on your modem or do you want to do it on routerboard?

Hi Cetalfio,

In this scenario i didnot use any routed, i only bridged for my Hotspot (port 3 and 4). Since i am using usb modem at the mikrotik, i will need rounterboard to define the DDNS.

Normally the mobile companies share their public IP addresses with other users, so you are behind a NAT. You can't connect because you need to do a port forwarding. But you don't have access to the routers company..
