Hi Guys
Does anyone know if NAT-PT is supported for IPv6 as I'm mainly running a global subnet internal on my network and I would like to turn off internal v4
I can't find any mention of it but thought some of the guru's might know
Thanks
Mark

CISCO supports The Network Address Translation − Port Translation (NAT−PT) is an IPv6 to IPv4 translation mechanism, which allows IPv6−only devices to communicate with IPv4−only devices and vice versa. NAT−PT is designed to be deployed to allow direct communication between IPv6−only networks and IPv4−only networks transparently that use a single V4 address.

Does MIKROTIK support NAT-PT???.

I was unaware horrid things like that even existed! The usage of NAT (in any way) with IPv6 makes my eyes bleed... ;)

A quick check tells me that NAT-PT has been deprecated and this is probably a good thing. I have been toying with the idea of turning my network into a an IPv6-only network, but I've come to the conclusion that it's too much of a pain. It is simply much easier to use IPv4 NAT and IPv6 in parallel.

NAT-PT is not supported.

to communicate over IPv6 network you can create tunnels over ipv6 to carry Ipv4 traffic. Starting from simple IPIPv6, EoIPv6 etc.
