Hotspot - unwanted user at hs-<hs-wlanx>

Hi @ all,

I´m using hotspot and usermanager. Some times ago I had the problem, that there was a unwanted user who was working without a registration in hotspot / userman. I solved this by creating a new Queue Type (bfifo with only 1 byte) for this wlan instead of "wireless-default". It was working with ROS 5.xx without problems.
Now I use ROS 6.4, but this Queue Type did not work here. If I use it, Hotspot did not work, means they did not get the login-picture.
What can I do to prevent that unwanted users are using the wlan? I can not use security profiles for this wlan.

Regards

_______________

Well, I will try to explain it more exactly:

The attach shows the queue-window, how it is working normaly. The first line is generated by the hotspot-setup for the login-datas. Normaly there is no traffic, only some bytes.

The problem I have had was that there was working anybody at this first line. The two marked fields showed many traffic all the time. I think it is not a big problem to read out the mac-address of the board and then... well, I saw it.
The fastest way to hinder that in this moment was to create a new Queue Type bfifo with a size of only 1 byte. I tested this and it was working with ROS 5.xx - the traffic went down up to cero and the login even though was o.k.

Last week I updated the ROS and after this it was not possible for clients to get the login-field. So I set the queue-type to "wireless-default" again and now it works.

But what can I do in that case, that I have had? It is an open hotspot, no encryption and the login with a username and a password. How can I prevent, that nobody can work about the mac? Please help with good ideas.

Thank you and best regards

Uli
