Boot from USB?

My OmniTik is dead.
After start only one beep sound, and no more responses.
No ligth when plug in ethernet ports, and winbox and netinstall wont detect it. (nor MAC nor IP).

I look for connect serial port (to console) using USB port, but i dont found any information, probably they cant.

¿They can boot from usb?

you have to use netinstall procedure for routers without serial to reinstall RouterOS.

One beep = all is fine and router is passing bootloader
Double beep = RouterOS has been loaded.

so, if you missing double beep, you have an issue with RouterOS installation of the router that you can easily restore using netinstall tool. Just follow instructions on wiki:

The problem is that the second beep does not occur and when I try to use netinstall (or winbox) the OmniTik not is show, nor MAC and nor IP address access.


I try to access using reset button (following the instructions) and waiting 30sg. After 30 s the led stop blink (change to solid green), and the router make a beep, but nothing occur and cant access.

I think that is a RMA case, this is a new equipment.
