RB112 Invalid Hotspot

I have been trying to get the hotspot working on a RB112 and continues giving Invalid on the Hotspot server page. I have tried setting it up manually in Winbox, manually from the CLI, with the setup command in winbox and CLI, and reset to factory and run the setup script from winbox. All the same problem. I run the setup on a different (new) RB112 and the same thing. When I run it on one of my Intel boxes running the same version of MT it works like it's supposed to. I have been at this for over 8 hours and enough is enough. Using RouterOS for routerboard v2.9.18 and 2.9.19. Any ideas or is this a problem in the OS for the routerboard.

Thanks,

We have the same problem. Works fine on a 532, won't work at all on a 112

OT but since RB112 users are of short supply...

What free disk space do you have on your 112s? I'm showing 57 meg used with 7.7 meg of packages.

And sorry - I'm not using hotspot.

It has the 64Mb flash and about 50% used. If it does not work on the 112 then I wasted my time. Have to have hotspot, that was the primary reason for getting it. Do not need a large amount of users or throughput.

Hi,

I see the same problems here, with Hotspot on RB112's.

If you use the setup wizard in WinBox, it'll be invalid, if you then delete the hotspot and recreate it, it's ok until you reboot or change the underlying hotspot server profile. This is an issue in 2.9.19 and 2.9.20. I'm down to that I will try to downgrade the package now, step by step, see if it ever worked.
