Error 502: failed to receive headers in response

For some reason now, when I attempt to go to one particular site I receive an error message: Error 502: failed to receive headers in response . This was brought up to me by a customer and this is only happening to this site when attempting to access it thru my Mikrotik machine. I have not changed my set-up in months and apparently this just started.

Does this sound like a firewall entry?

Mikrotik version 2.8.28

Any suggestions of what this could be from.

Are you using the Hotspot package?

If you've got the hotspot generated static rule for "transparent HTTP proxy for hotspot clients" in the dst-nat chain of your firewall, try disabling it. Nearly every problem we have ever had with 2.8 and the hotspot (both end-user web surfing and internal crashes) was solved by disabling that transparent proxy rule (or opting to not use it when setting it up) as well as the dns cache rule: "intercept all DNS requests". Curiously, dynamic proxy rules still appear for some users.

Edit: If you change the DNS rule, you might want to add your dns servers to your DHCP network settings.

Wow, now that was simple. :? I'm not sure what happened but this has been enabled from the start and everything has been going just fine.

Guess it's planet alignments.
