I've setup a bridge for shaping etc. per examples given on MT site. I'm working with adding some queues(just learning first). I see a queue already created "queue1" Is this a queue created by default for the bridge I've already setup? I cannot find an explanation in the manual etc. I've documented all my steps up to this point so I'm certain I did not create the queue.

Yes that is a queue created by default, when you instal a RouterOS, it will create some queues. To adopt queue rules for your needs you should configure such.
