Port UDP 0 ???

Fri Apr 21, 2006 6:08 am

New editions of Torrent or Warez P2P work in port UDP 0?
Why my clients with this type of traffic have exceed traffic without control?
In queues can see at 200K or more when i change this to 60K...
If theses P2Ps are the problem? how can control this?

Thanks!
Alessio

new versions of P2P sharing apps use encryption which makes it difficult to track them. Fortunately, RouterOS can detect this traffic and effectively drop it. But it cannot do speed limitation on it. So if you find that it does not work, just add a `drop` rule

Is there any talk of adding encrypted p2p to the available options when filtering? probably been asked already. Basically so you can allow the p2p connection you can shape and not the ones you can't :)
